Becky has worked as a Professional Pet Stylist for 12 years. During that time she has obtained an associates degree of veterinary technology, worked at a couple of well-established salons in central Pennsylvania and moved to Central Florida to train with professional pet trainers at Sea World’s Pets Ahoy pet show in Orlando.
Becky returned to the Veterinary field in 2002 as a certified Veterinary Technician and gained an in depth understanding of cat behavior working at the Cat Hospital of Orlando. Wanting to expand her areas of expertise Becky moved on to a local veterinary practice that worked with both cats and dogs. While training was fun and helping sick pets was rewarding, grooming has always remained her passion, so in August of 2006 Becky and her husband, Patrick, started Paw Pleasers in Dundee, Florida. After just two years, the business was doing great and it was time to expand into boarding. March 2008 saw the purchase of an existing grooming and boarding kennel in Flat Rock and the new home of Paw Pleasers Pet Resort.
Becky prides herself on her continuing education in the pet styling industry so that she is up to date on the popular cuts and styles of each breed. Using the knowledge she has gained from all aspects of the pet industry, she continues to provide exquisite pet styling together with excellent customer service.
Patrick Owner/Manager
Originally from Dublin, Ireland Patrick immigrated to the United States in 1993. After a career change in 2001 Patrick went to work at Sea World Orlando were he met Becky on the set of the Pets Ahoy Animal Show. In 2006 they started Paw Pleasers Pet Salon in Dundee, Florida. After much success they decided to relocate to Flat Rock, North Carolina where they could operate Paw Pleasers Pet Resort while enjoying the beautiful mountain seasons. Patrick is responsible for all the improvements that you see when you visit us. In addition to all of the business upgrades, Patrick enjoys all the behind the scenes work that keep Paw Pleasers running smoothly everyday.
